Costume Process
Through this production, my research process really helped lead me to my final outcome. With the costumes set in 1850, i started by researching different classes, trends, accessories and so on to further my understanding of the Victorian era. I do a detailed text breakdown, allowing me to have a better understanding of characters and the general atmosphere of the play.
Process Sketching
Through the play there was many scenes in which the chorus were in different locations and i needed to dress the actors accordingly to this. As I didn’t have time to draw each of these changes for the characters i put specific boards together for each location. This was a great help through the process and allowed my assistants to understand what i was looking for.
